What a beautiful place! i wasn’t expecting such a fancy decor from the outside. the food(hotdogs and poutine) was good and fairly priced. i dont recommend having cocktails.
tasted like sparkling water (barely any alcohol), but they were very kind and doubled the quantity. i heard the pizza is delicious too!
Terrasse William Gray
Address: 421 Rue Saint-Vincent 8ème étage Montreal, QC H2Y 3A6 Canada
Website: http://terrassewilliamgray.com
Phone: (438) 387-2010
Montreal’s most beloved rooftop bar (we visited 2 others). Our only complaint was that the sliders were a bit dry, and the service was sluggish yet nice. However, the view and the beverages were excellent.
The hostess took our names and put us on a list for a 20-minute wait to get in. When the table was ready, she contacted us to let us know that we had 5 minutes to arrive.
While we waited, we went downstairs to the restaurant and had a drink.
Auberge du Vieux Port
Address: 97 Rue de la Commune E Montreal, QC H2Y 1J1 Canada
Website: http://www.aubergeduvieuxport.com/
Phone: (514) 876-0081
The Vieux Port in historic Montreal is just a short walk away from this lovely boutique hotel.
For a four-night visit, I checked in at 7 pm to find that the hotel had upgraded me to a larger room, which was a nice surprise considering I was staying for so long.
Even though it was late November, this was a very kind gesture. The staff’s politeness, efficiency, and thoroughness never faltered during my visit.
I had dinner at the Taverne Gaspar, the hotel’s on-site pub. Waitressing patiently for me to locate my vaccination card and seating me immediately was the best part of the night at the pub.
It was a wonderful dining experience, thanks to the excellent cuisine.
Mad Hatter Pub
Address: 1240 Rue Crescent Montreal, QC H3G 2A9 Canada
Website: https://www.madhatterpubmtl.com/
Phone: (514) 987-9988
One of Montreal’s best bars! People were promptly seated as a result of Steve and Jay’s courteousness and professionalism in handling the line.
The Peach Julep in particular was amazing, as was the mixed pitcher we ordered after we were seated. Our server Yanna was equally helpful once we had settled down.
It was really hectic, yet despite this, Yanna was able to keep an eye on us and ensure that we received everything we requested on time.
Hôtel Nelligan
Address: 106 Rue Saint-Paul O Montreal, QC H2Y 1Z3 Canada
Website: http://www.hotelnelligan.com
Phone: (514) 788-2040
I’d give this hotel a perfect 10 if I could! A couple nights were spent here by my friend and I when we were on a ladies’ trip. The location was ideal, with many of options for shopping and dining in the area.
The hotel’s personnel was kind and the hotel itself was charming, although it had been updated where it needed to be.
I honestly forgot that we were simply passing time until our room was ready—we had delicious wine and appetizers, and the weather was just right for the rooftop bar!
The room itself was wonderful, and the fans in the bathroom were enough to keep me from hearing any noise from the bustling streets outside the windows, which is unusual for me because I’m a light sleeper.
When the weather was perfect, we even slept outside one night! My only regret is that I didn’t take the time to find out what brand it was.
I’ll be staying there whenever I return to Montreal!
Club Unity
Address: 1171 Rue Sainte-Catherine E Montreal, QC H2L 2G8 Canada
Website: https://clubunity.com
Phone: (514) 523-2777
What happened to my gay club membership? Wow, this was such a wonderful experience for me.
Pre-drinking meant that I didn’t have to purchase any beverages at the event. Cover charge was $5; candy was provided (not in a weird, child-luring manner), and the audience was friendly.
The music kept me grooving all night long!
Everyone I encountered at the club, from bouncers to coat checkers to other club-goers, was quite kind and welcoming. That’s not something you get to see very often at nightclubs, so it meant a lot to me.
As if that weren’t enough, there were three levels to explore (including a set of terrifyingly steep steps going to the terrace). Around midnight, there was a drag act to add some spice to the evening. I ADORE THIS SPOT.
Complexe Sky
Address: 1478 Rue Saint-Catherine E Montreal, QC H2L 2J1 Canada

Phone: (514) 529-6969
Rue St. Catherine’s is located in the center of the Village. Four-story bar and club. Large front and street patios, each with a lounge-like atmosphere. RnB/hiphop abounds on the second floor.
The third level is a mix of electronic music and dance music. The best part was the view from the roof. On the roof, you’ll get a patio-like feeling. At first glance, it appeared to be nothing but a swimming pool.
We sat in the middle of the bar, and both the bartenders and the customers were kind. Because I could converse in both English and French, I didn’t have to think about it.
