A few vegetarian dishes including panini are also available. There are really two other Paquebots to pick from;

One in Old Montreal’s charming and historic district, and another in Mile End’s Plume Café (also a nice work alternative, but a bit smaller).

With a few years under its belt, Perko has established itself as a staple in the Villeray coffee scene, and rather than looking down its nose at its computer-using patrons, it actively recruits them by providing free printing and a conference room that can be reserved in advance.

So, it’s no surprise that Perko may become crowded, but fear not; there are plenty of chairs and outlets, and it’s located far enough away from the colleges that it won’t be overrun by them.

Aunja has been steadily operating for a number of years in a prime location just blocks from the downtown Concordia campus, yet strangely enough, it is seldom overly busy.

Managed by a married Iranian couple, the cafe specializes on tea (try the Persian Fog, which combines pistachios, milk, Iranian tea, and saffron syrup) but also serves coffee. Sandwiches, soups, and salads make up a large portion of the menu options.
