Marc-Andre Jetté and his staff will be dishing up some of their most popular local Canadian cuisine on New Year’s Eve. I

n addition to the five-course early bird meal, which includes Coquille Saint-Jacques (seafood in oven-baked shells), black truffle, foie gras and dark chocolate for $115, there will be two other seatings, one of which will feature a seven-course tasting menu.

The six-course tasting menu for $185 includes canapés, sea urchin, Perigold with truffle cappelletti, and pigeon capped with foie gras for the second-seating option. Then there’s a chocolate brindille for dessert. OpenTable may be used to make reservations.

At their underground paradise, Soubois is hosting a supper and dance. Entrance and shots, a raw bar, surf & turf, and desserts are all included in the $125 price.

Doors open at 8 p.m., and food will be provided until 11 p.m. You should expect a lot of dancing and a lot of booze after supper.

Remember that Soubois is of legal drinking age. Party-only tickets are also available for $40.

20. La Seconde Avant Minuit

I had to add L’Auberge Saint-spectacular Gabriel’s New Year’s Eve supper event on my list after we reported on it today.

As the oldest restaurant in Montreal, there’s little doubt that they know how to host a great party. Arrive at 7pm for the cocktail hour, then dine at 8pm. Around 10 p.m., there will be a dance party.

Included in this price are appetizers, entrees and cheese plates as well as numerous food stations and desserts to round out the night.

Of course, the restaurant is also offering a complimentary glass of bubbly to each visitor in honor of Mindnight.
