Venice MTL – St-François-Xavier

The simplest way to describe Venice MTL is as a beam of California sunlight in the heart of Old Montreal, and now also downtown and in Saint-Henri.

Fortunately, I was staying just a few blocks away and wanted a place to work, so I came upon Velish. I’m glad I didn’t go all the way to the Second Cup instead of stopping here.
Everybody who works here is extremely pleasant and helpful when it comes to assisting customers in choosing from the many healthy alternatives on the menu.
Don’t be put off by the somewhat higher costs. The serving sizes are rather large. Green Machine and Warrior were two of my favorite flavors. The wraps, on the other hand, are a hit.
Several plugs on the wall allow you to charge all of your gadgets at once. WiFi is excellent and the ambiance is pleasant.
I was able to leave my tab open all day while I was working. Also, spotless facilities! There are some Leon Bridges and Beyonce in the playlist. These are some of my favorite tunes.
Velish, thank you so much for everything!
Because it was so close to my hotel, I ended myself returning three times throughout my trip. I desired smoothies during the sweltering summer months.

Mangue & Melon
Address: 138 Atwater Ave Montreal, QC H3J 2J4 Canada
On a hot, sunny day, the Mangue and Melon in Atwater market is a must-stop for a refreshing beverage. Our Beta blend of carrot, orange, and ginger has been so popular that we’ve rarely bothered to attempt anything else.
Juices come in a wide variety of flavors and colors, with new combinations being introduced on a regular basis. Three cup sizes are available for the vegetable and fruit mixtures.
The girl behind the booth had a lot of medium Beta left over from our last visit, so we split it amongst ourselves.
In response to our large consumption of juice, she dashed after us and topped our cup with the leftover liquid. No matter what Nina T. says, the staff is always friendly and helpful.
Visitors from our southern neighbor should exchange money in advance; the youngsters behind the counter, doing summer jobs, are not required to know the exchange rates or provide exchange services.

Liquid Nutrition came through with a couple smoothies that were just what the doctor ordered.
As others have pointed out, the cost of a 12oz / 500mL or such drink is $10-12. Ginger injections and immunological boosters, for example, can be included.
This is a 3-star review because of its high pricing and long wait time for a drink.
As each drink is made from scratch, it takes some time to prepare; they might use various methods of preparation to speed things along, but this is Montreal, where being hurried is frowned upon.
In any case, the beverages and vegetables were delicious, but the cost was prohibitive for frequent consumption.

Café Spill the Beans

Phone: (514) 962-8043
On my way south on St-Laurent a few months ago, I passed by their shop and made a mental note—it looked like a cafe worth checking out.
When I first saw it, I had a sense it was going to be a standout. I also observed that it was located in a high-traffic region immediately north of Sherbrooke St., the entryway to St. Laurent.
It certainly helps if you’ve lived there for a long time and are familiar with the area’s history and current events.
Based on a recent visit, it appears there is nothing to be concerned about in that regard; these men are clearly knowledgeable about coffee and appear to have an appreciation for its beauty.
As a barista competitor in Europe would expect, their teas and coffee are prepared to an exacting level of accuracy. As a bonus, they can also create latte art. This whole process of making an Americano still hasn’t left me.
No doubt about it, that was one of the greatest cups of coffee I’ve ever had.
I hope you enjoy this list, and that it helps you decide where to go for your favorite juice bar or smoothie.
There are several great juice bars and smoothie in Montreal that I couldn’t possibly cover them all in this post, so I will make another post soon.
