Food at John Winter Russell’s restaurant is best described as “meat on the side,” although the absence of additional protein doesn’t hurt.
The star of the show here are the vegetables, so they better be terrific to begin with, which they are.
To put it simply, Candide is an excellent example of what happens when a restaurant works closely with local farmers to ensure the best possible ingredients are used in its recipes.
