THE BEST 9 Peruvian Restaurants in Montreal
Restaurant Lima 14
Address: 8551, boul. St-Laurent, H2P 2M9
Website: restaurantlima14.ca
Phone: (514) 388-8393
Restaurant Lima 14 is a very nice Peruvian restaurant located on Saint-Laurent Boulevard. The atmosphere is casual and the food is incredibly good.
I’ve been there several times and can attest that you won’t be disappointed if you go there for dinner or lunch!
The best dishes are the ceviches, lomo saltados, and causa. The lomo saltado is very tasty with a generous portion of tender steak sliced thin and cooked with red onions, tomatoes, fries (papas), and soy sauce!
We also tried the ceviche de pescado which was prepared in leche de tigre (a spicy lemon juice where the fish is “cooked”) and served with potatoes, onions, and choclo (Peruvian corn).
Both dishes were very good and I would order them again if we went back to Lima 14.
The drinks are also good: pisco sours are made with Pisco, egg whites, lemon juice, bitters, sugar syrup, ice cubes & maracuya (passion fruit) juice.
Chez César
Address: 3477, montée St-Hubert, J3Y 4J6
Website: chezcesar.com
Phone: (450) 286-1704
Chez César is an Italian restaurant located near the intersection of St-Hubert Street and Jean-Talon. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and classy. It’s a great place to go for dinner with friends or family!
The first thing you should order is a fresh salad with balsamic vinaigrette. The second dish to try is the tortellini à la crème d’épinards et fromage de chèvre (cheese, spinach, and cream).
It’s very tasty! You’ll also find pasta dishes as well as chicken, meat, and fish dishes. All of the food is well-prepared and tastes great!
Villa Wellington
Address: 4701 Rue Wellington Verdun, QC H4G 1X2
Phone: (514) 768-0102
For a first time visit to a Peruvian restaurant, Villa Wellington is the place to be. It’s a very cozy, small and fine establishment that makes you feel at home from the moment you walk in.
When I walked into this restaurant, I was expecting just another mediocre dinner but was pleasantly surprised when found one of the best dinners Montreal has to offer.
Mochica
Address: 3863 Rue Saint-Denis Montreal, QC H2W 2M4
Website: http://www.restaurantmochica.com/
Phone: (514) 284-4448
This restaurant is absolutely amazing! Their ceviche, pisco sours, and lomo saltado are out of this world. I went there with my family last summer for dinner.
When you sit down at Mochica, the first thing they bring to your table is a small potato pancake which has a spicy red sauce on top.
My mom eats these all the time so she was very excited to try it! It tastes great, and I would definitely recommend you to order one of them when you eat at Mochica.
After we had our appetizer, they brought us a variety of dishes for the main course.
It was a bit too much food because we ended up taking half of the food and leaving it to take back home (although we did end up eating all of them for dinner that night haha).
One dish that I would recommend you order is the Lomo Saltado which has steak, red onions, tomatoes, and fries. It is very tasty and tastes better than any other lomo saltado I have ever had!
Puca Puca
Address: 5400, boul. St-Laurent, H2T 1S1
Phone: (514) 272-8029
In Outremont, Quebec, Pucapuca, a restaurant with huge windows, is located directly on St-Laurent Boulevard. It’s a Peruvian restaurant decorated in a South American style.
Fresh seafood, pork, and potatoes make up the bulk of this Peruvian-inspired menu.
The ceviche is quite good, but the main event here is the suckling pig. Slow-cooked for hours in a special marinade and then roasted in an oven, it falls apart with the gentlest touch.
Pucapuca also offers a variety of other meats, fish, and chicken dishes all incorporating classic Peruvian spices.
Barranco
Address: 4552, rue St-Denis, H2J 2L3
Website: barrancorestaurant.com
Phone: (514) 284-5077
On Saint-Denis Street, in the center of Plateau Mont-Royal, you’ll find Barranco, a contemporary Peruvian restaurant. Several Peruvian items are used to create the original tastes.
The ceviche is a must, as are the tiraditos (a Peruvian-style ceviche). You’ll also find excellent potato dishes, such as causitas, and various fish and meat dishes.
The desserts are typically Peruvian too, with a focus on puddings made with cornstarch or chicha morada, a Peruvian drink made from purple corn.
The food at Barranco is very good and the atmosphere makes you want to come back for another visit.
Solymar
Address: 7610 Rue Saint-Hubert, Montreal, QC H2R 2N6
Phone: (514) 273-4446
Chef M. Luis Corcuera’s Solymar restaurant in Montreal has been open since 2005 and has quickly become a favorite among the city’s foodies.
We provide a wide range of inexpensive Peruvian dishes on our menu. The Solymar’s charcoal-grilled meat is delicious, and it’s also a hit with fish and shellfish lovers.
In addition to our own Peruvian imports, we offer more than fifty wines at SAQ rates.
The restaurant has two levels and a reception area to accommodate all types of events. Enjoy our legendary Peruvian family breakfasts on weekends and holydays!
From appetizer to dessert, the Solymar is dedicated to showcasing the numerous flavors of our rich and diverse culture.
Tiradito
Address: 1076, rue de Bleury, H2Z 1N2
Phone: (514) 866-6776
It is one of the best places to eat Peruvian food in Montreal. It has a wide range of appetizers, main courses, and desserts that will blow your mind away. Everything about their dishes is delicious from beginning to end.
When I went there for a dinner, my friend recommended the following dishes: ceviche tiradito, lomo saltado, and suspiro a la limeña.
The ceviche was very refreshing and the tiradito had a perfect mix of flavors. The lomo saltado was my favorite dish of the night; it was cooked perfectly and had a delicious sauce on top.
The suspiro a la limeña dessert was also very delicious and a must-try.
I truly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to eat the best Peruvian food in Montreal!
Chifa
Address: 1080, rue de Bleury, H2Z 1N2

Through his rendition of Chinese Peruvian food, Chef Larrea wishes to bring back fond childhood memories. Peruvian Chifa cuisine combines traditional Peruvian ingredients with Chinese features.
The menu at Chifa is very extensive and offers a variety of different dishes. The highlights are the arroz chaufa (Peruvian fried rice), the lomo saltado, and the tallarines verdes.
The arroz chaufa is made with chicken, beef, or pork and is served with vegetables, onions, and a fried egg. The lomo saltado is a dish of steak, onions, tomatoes, fries (papas), and soy sauce.
The tallarines verdes are pasta with a green sauce made with parsley, olive oil, garlic, and Parmesan cheese.
