You’ve probably heard that there are so many new bars opening in Montreal in the next few years, it’ll almost feel like the city has become overrun by booze.
By 2022, Montréal will have become the city where one can enjoy a cocktail at every corner, on every block. This list of bars, cafes, and lounges is not only the city’s hottest new bars, it also features great food, live music, and cocktails.
Here are a few of my favorite bars in Montreal that opened in June. Enjoy!

One of Chinatown’s most famous hangouts, Sans Soleil can be found beneath the famed Japanese restaurant Fleurs et Cadeaux.
At the basement bar, guests may enjoy craft cocktails, sake, and a wide variety of natural wines, as well as DJ sets, dance parties, and plenty of vinyl.
