When it comes to dining out, Montreal has some of the best options when it comes to gluten-free eats.

But the downside is that they’re often so busy that you may have to go without—unless you know exactly where to go. That’s why I put together this list of 19 spots serving Montrealers with gluten-free options.

If you’re looking for delicious treats but have to avoid gluten and/or lactose, L’Artisan is your one-stop shop.

The boulangerie and patisserie (with another store in Rosemère on the North Shore) sells a wide variety of baked goods, from sweet pastries to savory breads and bagels.

Cakes can be made without eggs upon request, although the shop does not advertise itself as a vegan establishment.

The baked products at L’Artisan can be picked up (with advance notice by phone or message) or delivered (for a cost) from Tuesday through Sunday.
