Atwater Market, an all-natural, locally-owned grocery store has recently opened its doors and already we are impressed.
Atwater Market is one of our favorite places to eat in Houston. It’s a small, local spot serving up authentic Southern BBQ, fried chicken, and comfort food.
We went there just yesterday and had the best food of our lives. In fact, we ended up ordering about 10 different dishes! Here are some of our favorites.

Chicken sausage, beef brisket, pork spare ribs, and more will be served with slaw, fresh potato rolls, and pickles. The grilled asparagus salad and the Sunday tacos are lighter options that nonetheless taste great.

Greenspot has been a fixture of the Saint-Henri community since the 1940s. Not only is the snack bar famous on this portion of the island for its delicious diner fare, but also for its classic furnishings and reliable jukeboxes.
Take out orders of the greatest poutines, burgers, and milkshakes in town are available.
14. Foiegwa

Foiegwa, a French diner in the American manner, is one of the top restaurants in the area. This establishment, situated near the intersection of Notre Dame and Atwater, stays open late.
The burgers are excellent, and the menu also include terrines de campagne au foie gras, frog legs, bone marrow, niçoise salad, escargots, and more.
15. Bar Otto

Sister establishment to the popular Otto Yakitori, the Japanese-themed Bar Otto serves up delicious drinks and small plates.
A nice location to dine near the market, with gorgeous skewers that are just the right size for a snack and delicious sashimi to round off your meal.

The Stem Bar is an extension of the September Surf café, and it’s a casual bar with delicious food. You will be pampered if you enjoy trying different varieties of regional beverages.

17. Barley

Certainly a contender for the title of “most mable” brunch spot in the city. The dishes are always so bright and cheerful that they make you grin just looking at them. Their fare is an ideal compromise between tasty and nutritious.
18. Burgundy Lion

The Burgundy Lion is one of the most English places in town, perfect if you’re seeking for a cozy English pub that will transport you back to London in no time.
Need some fish and chips right now? Those fish and chips are to die for! In addition, the bar has over 500 whiskeys for patrons to sample on any given day.
19. Joe Beef

Joe Beef is arguably the most well-known eatery in Montreal, and its reputation precedes it. It’s easy to understand why, since the dishes are delicious and the servings are ample.
The portions are really large, and the fried oysters are to die for. We enjoyed ourselves very much and want to visit again soon. And we always know when we see Joe Beef goods at the supermarket.
